California December 2005 - through Christmas Eve
Now that we are back from the Twins Fantasy Camp in Ft Myers, FL, I will catch up our December 2005 trip to California and as well as report on the Twins Fantasy Camp experience in Florida this past week.
Prior to leaving Indio, Russ, Rita, Joan and I went to San Diego where we had dinner with Russ's cousin and our cousin, Rebecca Hydock. Rebecca is working at a feed and tack store right across the street from where we had dinner at the Black Horse Grill.
As mentioned in our earlier entry on this trip, we left Indio on the 17th of December and, after stopping at Joan's cousins, the brothers Johnson in Riverside and Glendora, we had a short visit in the lovely Beverly Hills home of Ian and Sharon Wing, friends from our Moscow days. Ian is the Australian Trade Representative for the Americas.
We arrived at Deb and Mike's about 9 pm Saturday evening. After a restful Sunday, Deb had me working Monday with a local handyman building shelves in their garage. I provided the labor and Lars was the artisan. It took a couple of days to implement the scheme Deb had envisioned. After all was done, the plan held all the "stuff" as intended.
On the 21st we went to Santa Barbara to do some shopping and had dinner. The 23rd we were at Deb and Mike's for Cornish Game Hens. They were very tasty. Here are shown sister Deb and nieces, Allison and Olivia.
Brother Jonathon and bro-in-law Mike are seriously considering something!
Christmas eve everyone, including the cat, relaxed and got psyched for Christmas morning.
