Old Farts Play Baseball in Las Vegas Oct 2005

This team picture of the Over 50 South Dakota Jackalopes was taken after the championship game last year. The main body of the team participated this year, but we did add a few replacements. Unfortunately, we were unable to repeat. We lost to the eventual champions from San Diego in the semi-finals. THERE IS ALWAYS NEXT YEAR!


The South Dakota Pheasants, a team made up of players "Over 60" years of age - although one could play in that category at the age of 57 - went undefeated and won the AAA Over 60 Championship.

We picked up Kjirsten and Zach in Denver on the way out. One night we decided to eat the buffet at the Bellagio. Zach wondered why he got only strained carrots when there was so much other good stuff to eat.

After the games, the teams retired to the pool at the motel where everyone relaxed with some adult beverages and sometimes a dip in the pool. The wrap and bag of ice are trying to cure a slightly pulled hamstring. Hey, at least I made it to Wednesday this year. Last year I pulled a groin muscle in the 2nd inning of the 1st game!
